About Hear 2 Learn

Our History

Hear 2 Learn officially began in the Summer of 2000 as a sole private practice focusing on home-based early intervention services for the many children who were now identified with hearing loss at birth. The creation of the Hear 2 Learn agency, however, grew from this sole practice and far beyond its’ original intent, becoming a New York State Department of Health and Education approved agency for Early Intervention and Preschool Services in June 2005. Originally intended as a small agency of professionals who work with infants and toddlers identified with hearing loss, Hear 2 Learn has grown to become a multi-faceted professional agency with a full range of comprehensive services for children of all ages with developmental delays, including sensory deficits, such as hearing loss.

In September 2007, we expanded our hearing healthcare services for children, investing into a full service pediatric audiology clinic. Hear 2 Learn now provides various services within multiple counties in Upstate NY. We are a strong supporter of local community agencies, providing consultations and services for daycares, preschools, schools and non-for profit agencies. Our community collaborations have grown to include a partnership with Aurora of CNY and the creation of TWO new programs that provide grant-funded and low-cost assistive technology to seniors and families who qualify.

We offer the highest quality of care by investing in our professional staff and their continued growth in education. We believe in realistic caseloads for our clinicians without the compromise of quality. Hear 2 Learn strives to provide the best clinician to meet the needs of our diverse populations. For our children with hearing loss, we are committed to providing the assessment and intervention necessary for a rich and full independent life regardless of communication mode. We are an "evidence-based practice" agency that fully supports the unique choices of all families.
